Μ첩ΜεΣύ-PS Releases Early Childhood Main Round of NCAP Results for 2025-2026 School Year

(New Orleans β€ May 1, 2025) β€ Μ첩ΜεΣύ Public Schools (Μ첩ΜεΣύ-PS) is pleased to announce the Main Round placement results for the 2025-2026 Early Childhood Μ첩ΜεΣύ Common Application Process (NCAP) are now available. Families can view their results by logging into apply.avela.org/nolaps.

Early childhood enrollment in New Orleans aims to provide families with access to high-quality early learning and childcare options for infants through Pre-K 4 learners. Μ첩ΜεΣύ-PS manages a unified enrollment system in partnership with the New Orleans Early Education Network (NOEEN) by guiding families through available programs such as publicly funded childcare centers, Head Start, and public school preschools.

Early Childhood Enrollment

For the 2025-2026 school year, Μ첩ΜεΣύ-PS received 3,496 applications for new placements in early childhood. On April 30, 2025, we released placement results for families who applied during the Early Childhood (EC) Birth - 4 year old Main Round and completed verification.

Of the applications, 3,166 applicants successfully received a placement or waitlisted. Approximately 90% of the placed applicants received their first choice. An in-person event is being held to work with the families that did not successfully submit the correct documentation to be verified.

Families Still Seeking an Early Childhood School Placement

Families who did not participate in the Main Round or would like to change their Main Round placement can participate in Open Enrollment, which begins Monday, June 2nd.

Interested families are encouraged to apply through the Avela portal (apply.avela.org/nolaps) and must meet eligibility requirements. Eligible families will be added to waitlists and seats will be filled after June 2nd and throughout the 25-26 school year.
